The area admeasuring 49,999.373 square meters of Container Freight Station M/s. International Cargo Terminal & Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. (Erstwhile U.L.A) located at Container Freight Station, Sector-8, Dronagiri Node, opp. Bhendkhal Village, Taluka-Uran, Dist.-Raigad, Maharashtra, Navi Mumbai-400707 was declared as Customs Area under section 8 of the Customs Act, 1962 vide Notification no. 03/2006 dated 16.02.2006 as amended from time to time and M/s. International Cargo Terminal & Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. (Erstwhile U.L.A) was appointed as Custodian and the Customs Cargo Service Provider for that area vide notification No. 03/2015 dated 18.02.2015 for a duration of 5 years.

Now, in exercise of the powers conferred on me under Section 45(1) and 141 (2) of the Customs Act, 1962, I, Sanjay Mahendru, Commissioner of Customs (General), JNCH, hereby renew the appointment of M/s. International Cargo Terminal & Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. (Erstwhile U.L.A) to be the “Custodian” of the Imported goods received at the Container Freight Station of M/s. International Cargo Terminal & Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. (Erstwhile U.L.A) until these are cleared for home consumption or are warehoused or are transhipped in accordance with the provision of Chapter VIII of the Customs Act, 1962. Similarly, M/s. International Cargo Terminal & Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. (Erstwhile U.L.A) will also be the Custodian’ of the Export cargo brought into said Container Freight Station for examination and stuffing till their exportation their exportation through Jawaharlal Nehru Port. 3. Further, in exercise of the powers conferred on me under Regulation 10 of the “Handling of Cargo in Customs Areas Regulations 2009″, I, Sanjay Mahendru, Commissioner of Customs (General), JNCH, hereby renew the approval M/s. International Cargo Terminal & Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. (Erstwhile U.L.A) as a ‘Customs Cargo Services Provider’ for the said CFS of M/s. International Cargo Terminal & Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. (Erstwhile U.L.A) subject to following conditions: i. The Custodian M/s. International Cargo Terminal & Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. (Erstwhile U.L.A) approved as ‘Customs Cargo Service Provider’ for the said CFS shall abide by all the provisions of the Customs Act, 1962 and the “Handling of Cargo in Customs Area Regulations, 2009”, other regulations, notification, orders issued there under.

ii. The duration of appointment of M/s. International Cargo Terminal & Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. (Erstwhile U.L.A) as ‘Custodian’ and as ‘Customs Cargo Service Provider’ shall remain valid for a period of five (05) years from 15.03.2020.

iii. The waiver from execution of Bank Guarantee has been given in terms of regulation 5(3) of HCCAR, 2009, as the CFS has been accredited with AEO-LO status with validity till 14.06.2022. If the validity of AEO status granted to the CFS is withdrawn prior to the scheduled date i.e. 14.06.2022 or is not extended beyond 14.06.2022, the CFS shall execute bank guarantee for the amount as determined w.e.f. date of expiry of validity of AEO status.

iv. The Commissioner of Customs (General), JNCH shall have the Right to review the approval as ‘Customs Cargo Services Provider’ before the completion of five years for failure to comply with any of the Regulations of the “Handling of Cargo in Customs Areas Regulations, 2009 or as per the directions of the Government of India.
