Subject: Re-constitution of Permanent Trade Facilitation Committee (PTFC) in

Import Commissionerate, JNCH – reg. Attention of all the Importers, Customs Brokers and the members of the Trade is invited to the Facility Notice No.44/2016 dated 11.03.2016 on the above mentioned subject. 2. Vide the above referred Facility Notice, as a trade facilitation measures and to effectively address various problems faced by the Trade and Industry in the Customs clearance with other allied agencies and stake holders, it had been decided to re-constitute the PTFC by including various associations/stake holders who are presently not nominated in the PTFC. 3. Accordingly, the Trade & Public, other connected Institutions/ Associations/ Stake holders willing to participate in the monthly PTFC meeting, were therefore, requested to send their willingness to this Office on or before 30.4.2016 so that a new Committee could be re-constituted. 4. Further as a trade facilitation measure to encourage more participation in the PTFC meeting, the time limit for giving the willingness was extended upto 31.05.2016. 5. Accordingly, various stakeholders have given their willingness for participation in the PTFC meeting. In view of the same, it is decided to re- constitute the PTFC with the following members:- (i) The Commissioners of Customs (Import) (ii) The Addl./Jt. Commissioners of Customs, Joint Director (Lab), Dy. Chief Chemist (DYCC), Scientist from National Information Centre (NIC) (iii) 1 member from M/s Container Shipping Lines Association (India) (CSLA) (iv)1 member from M/s Bombay Metal Exchange Ltd. (v) 1 member from M/s Women Custom Brokers & Freight Forwarders (vi)1 member from M/s All India Fresh Fruits Importers Association, Mumbai. (vii) 1 member from M/s Metal Recycling Association of India, Mumbai.(MRAI) (viii)1 member from M/s Raigad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI)

Salient features of the reconstituted PTFC would be: (a)The meeting will normally be held on last Thursday of the month at 11.30 hours. If the said day happens to be a holiday, meeting will be held on the next working day at the same time. In case of postponement, the same will be conveyed to the members in advance. (b) Only the members and invitees shall be entitled to attend PTFC meetings. (c)It is desirable that an Association/Organization is represented in the PTFC by the same person to the extent possible; this will ensure greater consistency and better understanding of the issues to be discussed in the PTFC.

(d) PTFC will consider/ discuss issues of common interest; it will not generally entertain isolated individual problems/issues. (e) Individuals (not being PTFC members) will not be invited as a matter of practice; however, any such individual having problem /issue involving wider ramification/ implication may also be invited. 7. Any difficulty noticed in the implementation may be brought to the notice of the undersigned. 8. This issues with the approval of the Chief Commissioner of Customs, Mumbai Zone-II. --Sd-- (D.K.
