Amendments/additions/corrections in DEPB rates related to Engineering product group

TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY (PART –I, SECTION –1)   GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY   PUBLIC NOTICE NO      27  /2004­2009 NEW DELHI : DATED   01.12.2004       In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004­09 and Paragraph 1.1 of the Handbook of procedures (Vol.I), the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments/ additions/ corrections in the  “Schedule of DEPB rates”:­    I   Product Group: Engineering      Product Code: 61   (i) The description of the export item at Sr.No. 497 is amended to read as “Thin­walled Engine Bearing Bushing and Thrust Washers in Steel Backed Copper Based High Tin Alloy F­780/SP/H24/GS25/G­41/SQE­49”.   (ii) The following corrections are made against entry at Sr.No.530 and are effective from 06.10.2004   Sl.No. Export Product DEPB Rate (%) Value Cap   530 Deleted     530A Identifiable  ready  to  use  machined  parts  / components made wholly or predominantly of Alloy  Steel  (not  less  than  90%  by  weight) manufactured  through  Forging  process,  not elsewhere specified 10 Rs.175/Kg 530B Identifiable  ready  to  use  machined parts/components  made  wholly  or predominantly of Stainless Steel (not less than 90%  by  weight)  manufactured  through Forging process, not elsewhere specified 10 Rs.400/Kg   This issues in Public Interest.                                          (K.T CHACKO) DIRECTOR GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE
