Amendments and Corrections in Schedule of DEPB rates

TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY (PART –I, SECTION –1)   GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY   PUBLIC NOTICE NO      03   /2004­2009) NEW DELHI : DATED   14 .09.2004   In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004­09 and Paragraph 1.1 of the Handbook of procedures (Vol.I), the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following addition/ corrections/amendment etc. in the Book titled “Schedule of DEPB rates”:­    I   Product Group: Engineering      Product Code: 61   i) The value cap of Rs.155/­ per kg enhanced vide Public Notice No. 67 dated 21.6.2004 against entries at Sr.No. 353 and 354 is revoked with effect from 21.6.2004 and the old value cap of Rs.135/­ per kg is restored.   ii) The description of the export item at Sr.No. 409 is amended to read as “Slitting Cutters made of Steel variety ­ X”   iii)  The DEPB rate of Sr.No. 413   is revised to 6% .   iv) The following new entries are inserted:    Sr.No. Description DEPB Rate ( %) Value cap 598 Lead concentrate 3   599 (Adhoc) Vaporizer made of Aluminium 3  (valid  for  6  months from the date of issue of this  Public  Notice  and  will  be  applicable  only for the  exports made by M/s  Inox  India  Ltd; Vadodara Rs. 270/­ per kg 600 Zinc Ingots 9       II   Product Group: Chemicals                                       Product Code: 62

i)                    The DEPB  entry at Sr.No. 459 is deleted and is   replaced by  the following  two new entries  :   Sr.No. Description DEPB Rate ( %) Value cap 459A M.G.Poster  Paper  /Manila  Board /Writing Paper/Colour Printing Paper /News Printing Paper 3   459B Paper  such  as  Cyclostyling  Paper  , typing  paper,  Xerox  Paper,  Copier Paper, Ruled /Unruled Paper , Plain Paper,  Drawing  sheets  etc.  in  cut sizes 9       ii)                   The DEPB rate at Sr.No. 808 is revised to 8% and value cap of Rs. 1200/­ per MT is imposed .   iii)                 The DEPB entry at Sr.No. 996 (Adhoc) stands deleted as it was valid only up to 11.5.2004.         iv) The following new entries are inserted:­   Sr.No. Description DEPB Rate ( %) Value cap 1016 Glibenclamide BP –88 2   1017 Bleaching Earth 5   1018 Salbutamol  Inhalers  (in Aluminum cans) 8   1019 Ophthalmic Bifocal Lenses 5   1020 Paper  Cones  made  of relevant paper board 10 Rs.35/­ per kg   III  Product Group: Plastics                                                               Product Code: 63          The description of the export item at Sr.No. 37 is corrected to read as “Jute Bags with LDPE/HDPE /PP Liner/Lamination and with/without Zipper/Handle”     IV Electronics                                                               Product Code 83   i)   The DEPB entry at Sr.No. 16 stands deleted.
