Amendment/correction in the schedule of DEPB rates

TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY (PART –I, SECTION –1)   GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY   PUBLIC NOTICE NO 67 (RE:03/2002­2007 NEW DELHI : DATED     21  . 06.2004   In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy, 2002­2007 and Paragraph 1.1 of the Handbook of procedures (Vol.I), the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following addition/ corrections/amendment etc.  in the Book titled “Schedule of DEPB rates”:­    I   Product Group: Engineering                                                                Product Code: 61   i)                    The value cap of Rs. 125/­ kg imposed against entry at Sr.No. 78 ii)                   The value cap of Rs. 125/­ kg imposed against entry at Sr.No. 81 iii)                 The value cap of entry at Sr.No. 107 revised to Rs. 30/­ kg iv)                 The entries at Sr.No. 141 to 152 are deleted v)                  The description of the export item of entry at Sr.No. 353 amended to read as “Table, kitchen and other household articles made of Stainless Steel with or without handle/lid  / anti­skid Rubber gasket irrespective of what material the handle/lid may have been made of” and the value cap of this entry revised to Rs.155/­ kg vi)                 The value cap of entry at Sr.No. 354 revised to Rs. 155/­ kg vii)                             The description of export item of entry at Sr.No. 574 amended to read as “Hermetically Sealed Compressors for Air Conditioners using R­22 Refrigerant Gas” viii)              After the existing entry at Sr.No. 596, the following new entry is inserted :   Sr.No. Description DEPB Rate ( %) Value cap 597   Galvanized  Pipes/Tubes  of different  wall thickness 13 Rs. 35/­ kg       II   Product Group: Chemicals                                                                  Product Code: 62     After the existing entry at Sr.No. 1010, the following new entries are inserted:­     Sr.No. Description DEPB Rate Value cap
