Amendment/correction in the schedule of DEPB rates

TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORIDNARY (PART­I, SECTION I)   GOVERNMENT OF INDIA, MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY   PUBLIC NOTICE NO.­ 22 (RE­03) / 2002­07 NEW DELHI : the  04th AUGUST, 2003   In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy, 2002­07 and paragraph 1.1 of Handbook of Procedures (Vol.I), the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following addition / correction / amendment in the book titled “ Schedule of DEPB Rates”.   I)       Product Group : Engineering               Product Code :  61   i)       The description of entry at Sl.No.65 is amended to read as under :­          “ Ferrous Automotive Products”   ii)       The description of entry at Sl.No.121 is amended to read as under :­          “ Collar of MS Sheet”   iii)      The entry at Sl.No.437 is corrected  to read as under :­   S.No. Description DEPB Rate (%) Value cap 437 (Engg.) Code 61 Steel Hinges Bar Type 17 (effective from 1.4.2003) Rs. 20/­ per kg. (effective  from 1.4.2003)   iv)      The description of entry at Sl.No.498 is amended to read as under :­            “Thinwalled Engine Bearing Bushing and Thrust Washers in Steel backed Copper based Alloy   F100/SY/HF2/LS10/GS10/Glyco­46/SAE­792”   v)       After the existing entry at Sl.No.583, the following new entry is inserted :­   Sl.No. Description DEPB Rate (%) Value Cap for DEPB entitlement 584 Nickel Screen 3         ­
