TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY (PART­I, SECTION­1) GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY PUBLIC NOTICE No. 41 (RE­2001) /1997­2002 NEW DELHI: the, 8th October, 2001 In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997­2002, as notified in the Gazette of India extraordinary, Part­II­ Section 3 – Sub­ section (ii) vide S.O No. 283(E) dated 31.3.97, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendment in the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1) (RE­2001), 1997­2002. 1. The following shall be added as Appendix­ 59­ Agri Export Zone Note: Please see paragraph 16.2 and 16.3 of the Policy The following shall be notified as an Agri Export Zone for the products mentioned therein. The Agri export zone shall cover the district specified in the table below: S.No. Product State Districts covered 1. Pineapple West Bengal Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri 2. Gherkins Karnataka Tumkur, Bangalore Urban, Bangalore Rural, Hassan, Kolar, Chitradurga, Dharwad and Bagalkot 3.
