              Sub: - Facility of ‘Direct Port Delivery’ to Authorised Economic Operator (AEO)   
                         – reg. 

Attention of all the Importers, Exporters Customs Brokers, and the member of the Trade is invited to the Facility Notice No. 63/2008 dated 01.09.2008 (amended vide Public Notice No. 66/2008 dated 11.09.2008) issued by this office on the above mentioned subject. 2. Kind reference is invited to Board's Circular No. 33/2016-Customs dated 22.07.2016 wherein the Board has decided to merge the two facilitation schemes namely ACP and AEO into a combined three-tier AEO programme and also enhance the scope of these programmes so as to provide further benefit including Direct Port Delivery to the entities.
3. A measure of trade facilitation and ‘Ease of Doing Business’, the Direct Port Delivery’ facility has been granted to all the ‘Authorised Economic Operator (Tier-1, Tier-2 & Tier-3)’.
4. All the importers who are AEO Certificate holder and who wish to avail of the DPD facility, are required to apply to the Commissioner of Customs (NS-III), JNCH.
5. The request for DPD permission will be processed by AEO Cell and the decision of the competent authority will be communicated to the applicant within 3 working days. 6. This revised procedure for expeditious permission for DPD is extended for all AEO Certificate holders and the procedure for permission of DPD facility for 100% EOUs will be followed under Facility Notice No. 63/2008 dated 01.09.2008 & Public Notice No. 66/2008 dated 11.09.2008 issued by this office.

Difficulties, if any; faced in implementation of these instructions may be brought to the notice of the undersigned.
