Meeting No. 14/87-NC-7/2010 of NORMS COMMITTEE (NC-7) dealing with ‘Plastic & Rubber Products’ held on 07.07.2010 under the Chairmanship of Shri Amitabh Jain, Addl. DGFT, Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi-110011. Following officers attended the Meeting:

Request: Enhancement of Value Cap for the export product “(i) Vee/Fan Belts Reinforced with man made textile

PRO version cord and (ii) Vee Belts with Kevlar” – M/s Pix Transmission Ltd., Mumbai.

Decision: The Committee reconsidered the request of M/s Pix Transmission Ltd. for fixation of Value Cap in respect of export product (i) Vee/Fan Belts reinforced with man made textile cord and (ii) Vee Belts with Kevlar in view of the observations made by the DEPB Committee in its Meeting held on 29.10.2009.

  1.     The Committee rescinded its recommendation for enhancement of value cap from                    Rs. 180/- to Rs. 224/- for

Vee/Fan Belts reinforced with man made textile cord and Rs. 180/- to Rs. 450- for Vee Belts with Kevlar.

  1.     The Committee has now decided to inform the DEPB Committee that the Norms Committee had taken into account the

shipping bills pertaining to one year, i.e., July 2008 to June 2009 for arriving at the decision for recommending enhancement of the value cap. The Committee also decided to recommend Rs. 224/- in respect of export products (i) Vee/Fan Belts reinforced with man made textile cord as well as and (ii) Vee Belts with Kevlar.
