Decision: NC discussed the case at length in view of decision of PRC dated 15.01.2013 and   written comments of DIPP vide U.O. No. 12/51/2013­TSW/C­13  dated 22.10.2013 and observed that:­ 1.      Firm has requested for change in export products from “Telephone Cables” to “Power cables” in respect of two old Advance Authorizations issued in year 2003 and discharge of export obligation  against these old Advance Authorizations by export of power cables from their current Advance Authorizations(4 Nos.) which they have taken for export of Power cables of various sizes/Grades. 2.      In one old Advance Authorization (No.0310231177 dated 16.10.2003), some of the import items like Filling Jelly/master Jelly etc.  will not be required for the manufacture of Power cables and, therefore these  import items can not allowed if the item of export is changed  from “Telephone Cables” to “Power cables”. 3.      In other old Advance Authorization (No. 0310240217 dated 08.12.2003), firm has imported “Semi­finished Telephone Copper Cable”, which will not be required for the manufacture of power cables.
