Minutes of the Norms Committee-II Meeting No. 14/09 held on 08.07.2008.
The Meeting No.14/09 of Norms Committee-II was held on 08.07.2008 for the licensing year 2008-2009 under the Chairmanship of Joint Director General of Foreign Trade (OPH) to consider the applications under Duty Exemption Scheme (Chapter-4) of Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009.   4.   5. Words “Copper Conductor, XLPE Insulated, EVA Sheathed, Armoured, 0.6/1.0 KV” may be suffixed with the description of export products from S.No 17 to 22.

  6. Words “Copper Conductor, PVC Insulated, Armoured, 300V/500V” may be suffixed with the description of export products at S.No. 25 & 26.

  7. The quantities of import item at S.No 1 viz.Copper Wire Rod/CC Rod(EC Grade)/Copper Cathode (99.99% purity) may be allowed as under: a) For Export products mentioned at Sl No. 1 to 8 & 16 as per Engineering Table 6. b) For export product mentioned at S.No.9 as per Engineering Table 10. c) For Export products mentioned at Sl Nos. 17 to 22 as 1.01 kgs/kg content in the export products. d) For Export product mentioned at Sl Nos. 23 to 26 as 45.3 Kgs./km, 185.6 Kgs./km, 31.7 Kgs./km & 382 Kgs./km res respectively after taking clue from Engineering Table 6.

  8. The quantities of import item at S.No.2 viz. Aluminium Wire Rod /ingots (Electrolytic Grade) may be allowed as under: a) For export product mentioned at S.No.10 applied for i.e. as 508 kgs./km.
    b) For Export products mentioned at Sl No. 11 to 13 & 15 as per Engineering Table 6. c) For Export product mentioned at Sl No. 14 as per Engineering Table 10.

  9. The quantities of import item No.3 viz. XLPE Insulation Compound may be allowed as under: a) For Export products mentioned at Sl No 10 to 13,15 & 17 to 22 as 1.05 Kgs/Kg content in the Export Product. b) For Export product mentioned at Sl No 14 as per Engineering Table 10.

  10. The quantities of import item No 4 viz. PVC Compound may be allowed as under: a) For Export products mentioned at Sl No. 1 to 8 as per Engineering Table 6 b) For Export products mentioned at Sl. No. 9 to 13,15, 25 & 26 as 1.05 Kgs. / Kg. content in the export product. c) For Export product mentioned at Sl. .No.14 as per Engineering Table – 10.

  11. The quantities of import item at S.No.5 viz. EVA Copolymers may be allowed as under
    a. For export products mentioned at S.No.16 to 24 as 1.05 Kgs./Kg. content in the export product.

Quantities of import items at S.No. 6 & 7 may be allowed as 0.547 Kgs. and 135.71 Kgs. respectively inclusive of 10% wastage. 5. Quantity of import item at S.No.8 may be allowed as 199000 Nos. on net to net basis. However, total duty free import of this item may be restricted to 1.97 Kgs. inclusive of 10% wastage. 6.
