a. Proposal: -
Proposal dated 14.08.2024 submitted by M/s. SEZ Biotech Services Pvt. Ltd., (Co- Developer), located at Serum Bio-Pharma Park – SEZ, Hadapsar, Pune 411028 for approval of List of Materials for Authorised Operations in the processing Area of SEZ.

b. Specific Issue on which decision of Approval Committee is required: - Approval for List of materials required for Authorised Operations in the processing Area of SEZ totally valued at Rs. 12,50,00,000/-. c. Relevant Provisions: - As per Rule 12 (2) of SEZ Rules, 2006 “The Developer shall make an application, after obtaining approval for the authorized operation under rule 9, to the Development Commissioner, along with the list of goods and services, including machinery, equipments and construction material required for the authorized operations, duly certified by a Chartered Engineer for approval by the Approval Committee” d. e. Other Information: - M/s. SEZ Biotech Services Pvt. Ltd., (Co- Developer), has been granted Formal Letter of Approval No. F.2/39/2005-EPZ dated 16.08.2007 The Co-Developer has submitted Additional List of Materials duly certified by the Chartered Engineer Vaibhav Sapre, (Registration No. VPS/CEC/2024/009 dated 08.08.2024 for Authorised Operation in the Processing Area of their SEZ located at 212/2, Hadapsar, Pune 411028. The Co-Developer has informed that in view of the expansion of the Project with the addition of area of 3.5968 hectares by the Developer, the Co-Developer are required to add more items in the list of materials for Authorised Operations in the Processing Area of SEZ. The total value of said materials is Rs. 12,50,00,000/-. SO has been requested vide letter dated 19.08.2024 to submit verification report and SO vide letter dated 06.09.2024 submitted his verification report which is as as follows: a. the Additional list of material submitted by the Co-Developer has been verified and found in order.
b. Co-Developer has Bond Balance of Rs. 58.92 Crores which is sufficient for the procurement of Indigenous & Imported material of estimated value of Rs.12.50 Crores.
c. The estimated duty foregone in the subject goods amounts to approx. Rs. 2.25 Crores. d. the Chartered Engineer vide his letter dated 08.08.2024 have also certified that, these materials are required for Authorized Operations of M/s. SEZ Biotech Services Pvt. Ltd. (Co-Developer) and hence the request of Co-Developer may be considered. The Co-Developer has submitted the procurement and utilization statement Quarterly upto June, 2024. f. ADC’s Observation: - Approval Committee may kindly consider the request of the Co-Developer for approval of list of material in terms of Rule 12(2) of SEZ Rules, 2006.
