TRADE NOTICE NO.06 /2018-EXPORT-MZ-I Sub : Electronic Seals used on Export Containers-Reg.

Attention of all Exporters, Custom Borkers, Custodians, Trade and Customs Field formation is invited to the fact that Test/examination of e-seal
have revealed that following 03 vendors are found to be supplying e-seals not confirming to the security standards. This being a serious security issue, it has been decided that the use of RFID e-seals procured from the following 03 vendors is not permitted till further orders. i) M/s IB Track Solutions Pvt Ltd.,
ii) M/s Great Eastern ID Tech Pvt Ltd., Gurgaon, Haryana. iii) M/s Perfect RFID Technologies Ltd. 2. The RFID e-seals provided/supplied by M/s Leghorn Group, Italy have been found to have not complied with the security requirement. This being a serious secutiry issue, it has been decided that the use of the RFID e-seals procured from the M/s Leghorn Group, Italy is not permitted till further orders. 3. Further, it is brought to the notice that it is not possible to interdict the export containers by Risk Management System on the basis of the type of RFID e-seals (Vendor/Manufacturer specific). The field officers are required to verify whether the RFID e-seal is properly locked or not at the time of scanning.
4. All Exporters, Custom Borkers, Custodians and the Trade are requested to take necessary precaution if the export containers having RFID e-seals procured from above mentioned 03 vendors are noticed.
5. If any discrepancy is noticed at the stage of scanning then the competent authority shall take appropriate decision regarding examination of the said export containers on the basis of the perceived risk parameters, as deemed fit. 6. All the members of the Trade Association are requested to circulate the Trade Notice among their constituent members for information and guidance.
