corrigendum to 11th BOA Meeting - 9th May, 2007

CORRIGENDUM TO THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE BOA HELD ON 9TH MAY, 2007

i)
The following sentence would be added at the end of the minutes relating to Item No. 1 on the request of ADICORP for co-developer and for authorized operations in the multi product SEZ proposed to be developed by Mundra Port and Special Economic Zone Limited (MPSEZL) (formerly known as Gujarat Adani Port Limited):-

“However, DGEP informed that their primary objection was regarding notification of existing Mundra Port as a part of the SEZ since the vacancy condition is not fulfilled.”

ii) Item No. 13 of the Minutes may be read as follows:

Item No. 13: Request of M/s Essar SEZ Hazira Limited for fencing and specified entry and exit points in the processing area of the SEZ

The representative of the Department of Revenue informed the Board of certain irregularities in respect of M/s Essar SEZ Hazira Limited in particular of existing conveyors connecting the SEZ and DTA areas. A CD containing evidences showing the existing conveyor(s) was also handed over to Department of Commerce officials. The Board decided that pending further examination/verification of these facts, the consideration of agenda may be deferred.

iii) The following sentence would be added the end of the minutes relating to Item No. 14 regarding Request of M/s Quark City India Private Limited for reviewing the limitation of built up area for housing and shopping in the non- processing area:

“The Board noted that the approval for the above quantities was given as an exceptional case and that it can not be quoted as a precedent for grant of such approvals in future to any other developer. “
