SUB:- Rescinding of Public Notice No.31/2017 dtd.09/03/2017, No.50/2020 dtd. 09/04/2020 & No.59/2020 dtd. 22/04/2020 – reg.

Attention of the Importers, Custom Brokers, General Trade, Officers of JNCH and all other stakeholders is invited to the JNCH Public Notice No.31/2017 dtd.09/03/2017, No.50/2020 dtd. 09/04/2020 and No.59/2020 dtd. 22/04/2020, whereby Customs clearance on the basis of self-certified copies of PTA/FTA certificates in case of DPD/AEO clients was allowed.

Pursuant to coming into force from 21.09.2020 of Customs (Administration of Rules of Origin under Trade Agreements) Rules, 2020 (hereafter referred to as the CAROTAR, 2020), marking defacement of each COO uploaded for a Bill of Entry is mandatory, without which ‘Out of Charge’ is not allowed to be given in system.

In view of the above, Public Notice No.31/2017 dtd.09/03/2017, No.50/2020 dtd. 09/04/2020 and No.59/2020 dtd. 22/04/2020 are being rescinded with immediate effect.
