Subject: Implementation of eSANCHIT in Exports on mandatory basis reg.

Attention of the exporters, custom brokers and all other stakeholders is invited to the Circular No. 43/2018-Customs, dated 08.11.2018 issued by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) & Public Notice No.150/2018 dated 04.12.2018, wherein it has been decided to extend the facility of uploading digitally signed document on eSANCHIT to all ICES locations on PAN lndia basis for all types of exports under ICES on a voluntary basis. Board has now vide F. No.450/148/2015-Cus IV dated 19.12.2018 decided to implement this facility on mandatory basis from 1st January, 2019. 2. Members of the trade are informed accordingly to use this facility to upload the supporting documents concerning shipping bills filed w.e.f 1st January, 2019. 3. The procedure for uploading supporting documents in exports is similar to the one prescribed for eSANCHlT in imports vide Public Notice No.162/2017 dated 29.12.2017 & Public Notice No.150/2018 dated 04.12.2018. 4. As the uploading of the documents on e-Sanchit is mandatory w.e.f 01.01.2019, members of trade / exporters / customs brokers are advised to use this facility for all their export clearances as it reduces cost and expedites export clearances.
5. The contents of this public notice shall operate as a standing order so far as officers and staff of Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House are concerned. 6. Difficulty, if any, may also be brought to the notice of Deputy / Assistant Commissioner in charge of EDI section through email / phones (email address: edi@jawaharcustoms.gov.in, Phone No : 022-27244794).
