Subject: Amendment in import policy condition of pepper classified under Chapter 09

of ITC (HS), 2017—Schedule-1 (Import Policy) Attention of the Exporters, Custom Brokers, other members from trade & industries and all concerned are invited to Notification No. 42 /2015-2020, dated 6th December 2017 issued by Directorate General of Foreign Trade on the above subject.

2. Vide aforesaid Notification, Central Government has amended the import policy condition of 'Pepper' classified under Chapter 09 of ITC (HS), 2017 – Schedule - 1 (Import Policy) as under:

3. Effect of this notification is that import of pepper classified under EXIM Code 090411 and 0904 1200 is subject to Minimum Import Price (MIP) of Rs 500 on CIF basis per kg.

4. In case of any difficulty, the specific issue may be brought to the notice of Deputy/Assistant Commissioner in charge of Appraising Main (Import) (email address: appraisingmain.jnch@gov.in).

5. Action to be taken in terms of decisions taken in this Public Notice should be considered as standing order for the purpose of officers and staff.
