Amendments in Handbook of Procedures, Vol. I RE2008.

TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRA ORIDINARY (PART – I SECTION­I) GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY DEPT. OF COMMERCE  DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE     PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 144 (RE­2008)/2004­2009 NEW DELHI, DATED THE  13th February, 2009               In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2004­09, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Handbook of Procedures, Vol. I RE2008.   For  exports  made  w.e.f  1.4.2008,  in  Table  15  of  Appendix  37A,  the  following  sentences  are  inserted  at  the  end  in  the  Note  inserted  vide  Public  Notice 128(R2008)/2004­09 dated 7.1.2009.   “The VKGUY benefits on exports of all items included in Table 15 shall be admissible only for ‘Handicraft Products’. The Export Promotion Council for Handicraft (EPCH) shall certify that the exported product is a Handicraft product, if any doubt arises on this issue.”   These corrections shall apply on exports made from 1.4.2008.
