Amendments in Handbook of Procedures, Vol. I (RE 2008).

TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRA ORIDINARY (PART – I SECTION‐I) GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE   DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE   PUBLIC NOTICE NO.   121 (RE‐2008)/2004‐2009   NEW DELHI, DATED THE  24th December, 2008               In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2004‐09, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Handbook of Procedures, Vol. I (RE 2008):   1.         In Appendix 37D, in Table 10, for Market Linked Focus Products, the following amendments are made:‐   (i)                  Sl.No. 9 in Table 10 is amended to read as under:‐   9. 10.9   Bicycle wheels; Mudguard and its parts, Handle and its parts, Chain cover, Stand, Carrier, Bell, Pump, Mirror, Dynamo Lighꪓng Set and Forkguard 87149920 87149990     (ii)                 Sl.No. 10 in Table 10 is amended to read as under:‐   10. 10.10       Taps, cocks, valves and similar appliances for pipes, boiler shells, tanks, vats or the like, including pressure‐ reducing valves and thermostaꪓcally controlled valves; New pneumaꪓc tyres, of rubber, of a kind used on bicycles; Inner tubes of rubber,  of a kind used on bicycles 8481     401150 401320   (iii)               In the Column for Linked Market(s) for Focus product(s) / sector(s) in Table 10, linked to Focus Product Codes 10.1 to 10.10, Algeria is added to the list of linked markets.   2.         Consequently, export of above menꪓoned products desꪓned to specified linked markets will be enꪓtled to benefit under Para 3.10.7 of Foreign Trade Policy (RE‐2008)/2004‐2009  for exports made w.e.f 1.4.2008.   3.         The following note is inserted in Table 10 for Focus Product Codes 10.2 to 10.10:               “The products covered under Focus Product Codes 10.2 to 10.10 must be for use in bicycles only and the exporter, therefore, must submit documentary proof to that effect to the RA”.
