Amendments in Handbook of Procedures, Vol. I (RE 2008).

TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRA ORIDINARY (PART – I SECTION‐I) GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE   DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE   PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 120 (RE‐2008)/2004‐2009   NEW DELHI, DATED THE   24th December, 2008               In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2004‐09, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Handbook of Procedures, Vol. I (RE 2008):   1.      In Appendix 37 D, in Table 2 for Sports Goods, Fire Works and  Sta䡿onery Items, the following amendment is  made:‐   (i)     In Table 2, in the column with heading “ITC(HS) Code” at Sl. No. 17, a new ITC(HS) Code 85052000 is inserted, in addi䡿on to the exis䡿ng ITC(HS) Code.   (ii)   In Table 2, in the column with heading “Descrip䡿on” (of focus products) at Sl. No. 17, a new focus product, namely, Staples in Strips is added, in addi䡿on to the exis䡿ng products.          2. Consequently, export of Staples in Strips (ITC(HS) Code 85052000) will be en䡿tled for Focus Product Scheme  benefits on exports made w.e.f 1.4.2008.
