TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY (PART­I, SECTION­1)   GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE     PUBLIC NOTICE  NO.   2  (RE­2008) /2004­2009 NEW DELHI DATED THE  11th April, 2008                      In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2004­2009, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendment Public Notice No. 79 dated 2.1.2006:   1.                  Sl. No. 1 (v) of Public Notice No. 79 dated 2.1.2006 stands amended as follows:   “A copy of the MODVAT / CENVAT non­availment Certificate duly counter­signed by Central Excise Authority or a certificate from the Central Excise authorities  that imported inputs have been  used for the production of dutiable goods in his factory or in the factory of his supporting manufacturer.  However,       such certificate would not be required in case of export of non­dutiable products.”       This issues in Public interest. `  (R.S. Gujral) Director General of Foreign Trade And Ex­Officio Additional Secretary to the Govt. of India     (Issued from F.No.01/94/180/Annual Suppl.­08­09/PN/AM 09/PC 4).
