TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY (PART­I,  SECTION­1)     GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE   PUBLIC NOTICE No.  64 /2004­09  NEW DELHI, Dated:  28th  March, 2005      Subject:  Procedure for import of certain items under the India­Nepal Treaty of Trade signed on 2.3.2002­amendment therein.               In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade  Policy 2004­09, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendment in Public Notice No. 9/2002­07 dated 30.04.2002 prescribing the procedure for import of certain items under the Indo­Nepal Treaty of Trade signed on 2.3.2002:   1.         Para 2 of  Public Notice No.12/2004­2009 dated 4th October, 2004 shall be amended to read as follows:   “ State Trading Corporation (STC) & the associates  appointed by STC will be the agencies to import the specified quantity of vegetable oils (vanaspati) from Nepal with effect from 23.10.2003 subject to the overall responsibility of STC who will ensure its distribution and monitoring as per Government Policy.”   This issues in the Public interest.   Sd/­ (K.T. CHACKO) DIRECTOR GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE  AND EX­OFFICIO ADDL. SECRETARY TO THE GOVT. OF INDIA     (Issued from file no. 01/89/180/0001/AM01/PCIA)
