Amendment in SION for Pathogen Free (SPF) Eggs

(TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY PART­1­SECTION­1)   GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE   PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 37     / 2004­2009 NEW DELHI  : DATED : 27.12.2004.             In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2004­2009, as amended, the Director General  of  Foreign  Trade  hereby  makes  the  following  amendments  in  the  Handbook  of  Procedures,  Vol.2,  2002  ­  2007,  as amended.   PRODUCT GROUP : FOOD PRODUCTS    The  SION entry appearing at Sr.No. No. E­59 is substituted as under with the note: “ SION No. Export Item Quantity Import item Quantity E­59 Specific Pathogen Free (SPF) Eggs 1,00,000 Nos. (1)SPF Premium Eggs (Male)   (2)SPF Premium Eggs (Female) 108 Nos.         977 Nos.   Note: The import shall be permitted only from those countries which are free from Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (Fowl Plague) in terms of Gazette Notification of Ministry of Agriculture , Department of Animal Husbandry dated 07.07.2004 (No. 612) and Notification No. 43/(RE:2003) /2002­2007 dated 6.8.2004 of  Ministry of Commerce and Industry and any other notification issued in this regard from time to time. Further, the import shall be allowed only on fulfillment of the conditions specified in the General Notes regarding
