Notification of new Agri Export Zones

TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY (PART –1, SECTION­1) GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY   PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 73 (RE­01)/ 1997­2002 NEW DELHI, the 8th  March ,2002   In exercise of  powers conferred under Paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy 1997­2002, as notified in the Gazette of India extraordinary, Part­II Section 3, Sub section (ii) vide S.O. No.283(E) dated 31.03.1997, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendment in Handbook (Vol 1).(RE­01), 1997­2002.     1)       The following are notified as Agri Export Zones and added in the table at Appendix 59 pertaining to “Agri Export Zone”. These zones shall cover the districts, blocks., mandals specified in the table below.     S. No Product State Districts covered 6 Mango Pulp & Fresh Vegetables Andhra Pradesh Chitoor (Kuppam Food Park, GD Nellore, Tavanampalle, Bangarupalem, Irala, Pakala, Palamaner, Pootalapatlu, Punganur, Rama Kuppam, Shantipuram, V­Kota, Gudipalle Mandals) 7 Pineapple Tripura Kumarghat, Manu, Melaghar, Matabari and Kakraban Blocks 8 Mangoes Maharashtra Rantagiri, Sindhudurg, Raigarh and Thane 9 Apples Jammu & Kashmir Srinagar, Baramula, Anantnag, Kupwara, Kathua and Pulwama 10 Potatoes, Onion and Garlic Madhya Pradesh Malwa, Ujjain, Indore, Dewas, Dhar, Shajapur, Ratlam, Neemuch and Mandsaur 11 Cabbage, Broccoli, Okra, Peas, Carrot, Baby Corn, Green Chillies, Green Beans, Tomato Punjab Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala, Sangrur, Ludhiana and Ropar 12 Potatoes Uttar Pradesh Agra, Hathras, Farrukhabad, Kannoj, Meerut , Baghpat and Aligarh. 13 Mangoes Uttar Pradesh Lucknow, Unnao, Hardoi, Sitapur and Barabanki 14 Mangoes Uttar Pradesh Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnaur, Meerut, Baghpat and Bulandshahr 15 Potatoes Punjab Singhpura, Zirakpur Distt. Patiala and  satellite centres at Rampura Phul, Muktsar, Ludhiana, Jullundur     This issues in public interest.
