Re-export of Cotton Yarn

(TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY   PART I SECTION I)   GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE   PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 59 (RE­2001)/1997­2002 NEW DELHI, the  3rd   January, 2002   In exercise of the powers conferred under Para 4.11 of the Export & Import Policy, 1997­2002, (incorporating amendments made upto 31st  March, 2001) the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in the ITC(HS)Classification of Export and Import items (incorporating amendments made upto 31st August,1998) and as amended from time to time :­   1.            Table B of Schedule 2: (a)      Existing Entry   Code (1) Item Description (2) Policy (3) Nature of restriction (4) 5205 Cotton Yarn Free (a)        Quantitative ceilings as may be notified by DGFT from time to time; (b)        Certificate from the Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council, and (c)               Fulfillment of the hank  yarn  obligation  as determined by the Textile Commissioner.   (b)        Amended Entry   5205 Cotton Yarn Free Deleted                                                                                                                                                              (c)     Effect of Amendment   The restrictions shown at Column 4 in respect of item at Code No. 5205 have been deleted. Cotton Yarn is free for exports without any restrictions in so far as ITC(HS)Classification of Export & Import is concerned.   2.           Appendix 1 to Schedule 2   (a)        Existing Entry

S.No. Item Exports allowed on the fulfillment of following condition/production of documents. 6 Cotton Yarn (a)               Quantitative Ceilings as may be notified by DGFT from time to time. (b)               Certificate from the Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council.                   (b)   Amended Entry   6 Deleted Deleted                   (c) Effect of Amendment                   The entry at S.No. 6 in above Appendix has been deleted altogether. Cotton Yarn is free for exports without any conditionality in so far as ITC (HS) Classification of Export & Import is concerned.   2.             The above amendments will be effective from 1.1.2002.   3.             This issues in public interest.
