Changes in Standard Input Output Norms

(TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY PART­1­SECTION­1)     GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE   PUBLIC NOTICE NO.20 (RE­2001)/1997­2002 NEW DELHI : DATED :  11/6/2001.                   Attention is invited to Paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy 1997­2002, as amended and  Paragraphs 7.8 and 7.10 of the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.1, 1997­2002, as amended and also to the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 1997­2002, as amended from time to time.   2.             In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy 1997­2002, as amended, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following additions in the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 1997­2002, as amended.   3.             In the statement of Standard Input Output Norms as contained in the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 1997­2002, as amended, following additions at appropriate places as mentioned in Annexure "A” to this Public Notice shall be made:­   CHEMICALS AND ALLIED PRODUCTS                   After the existing entry at Sl.No.A­2686, the new entries from Sl.No.A­2687 to A­2693  shall be added as per Annexure ”A” to this Public Notice.   This issues in public interest.     (N.L. LAKHANPAL) DIRECTOR GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE                                                                                                                                                       ( H.C. AZAD ) DY. DIRECTOR GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE        FOR DIRECTOR GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE   ­:2:­   Annexure “A” to the Public Notice No.20 Dated: 11/06/2001

Note : This norm does not include lubricating oils and petrochemical products like Benzene, Toluene, MTBE, etc.   ­:3:­   A2689 Middle Distillates (MD) viz., ATF, SKO, HSD (3­4 grades), MTO, LABFS, AROMEX, JBO, LDO, Gas Oils, Solvents (2­3 grades) 1 MT Crude Oil   Relevant catalysts and chemicals used in refineries     1.072 MT   CIF value limited to 0.1% of FOB value of export.  However, for HSD and ATF CIF value shall be limited to 0.25% of FOB value of export.

Note: This norm does not include lubricating oils and petrochemical products like Benzene, Toluene, MTBE etc.   A2690  Heavy Ends (HE) viz. FO(2­3 grades), LSHS (2­3 grades), HPS, Pitch, Asphalt (3­4 grades), Bitumen (3­4 grades), Raw Coke, Calcium Coke, Slack Wax (2­3 grades), Paraffin Wax, Microcrystalline Wax, CBFS, RPO, Sulphur   1 MT Crude Oil   Relevant catalysts and chemicals used in refineries  0.820 MT   CIF value limited to 0.1% of FOB value of export. Note : This norm does not include lubricating oils and petrochemicals products like Benzene, Toluene, MTBE, etc.     ­:4:­   A2691  Paraxylene 1 MT Naphtha   Relevant catalysts and chemicals used in refineries      1.58 MT   CIF value limited to 1% of FOB value of export. Note : This norm is valid upto 31.12.2001. A2692  Orthoxylene 1 MT Naphtha   Relevant catalysts and chemicals used in refineries      1.44 MT   CIF value limited to 1% of FOB value of export.
