DEPB rates

TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY (PART­1, SECTION­1)   GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE   PUBLIC NOTICE No. 47 (RE­99)/1997­2002 New Delhi the 10th January, 2000   In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997­2002, as notified in the Gazette of India extraordinary, Part­II Section3­ Sub­section (ii) vide S.O.No.283(E) dated 31.3.97, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendment in the Handbook of Procedures(Vol.1) (RE­99), 1997­2002.   1. The following amendments may be made in the Appendix­28A under Product Group: Textiles (Product Code: 89).   (i) The DEPB rate in respect of entry No.78 i.e. 100% Cotton Indigo Blue Dyed Denim Cloth may be increased from 7% to 11%. (ii) A new entry at S.No.59A may be added after entry No.59 with following description and DEPB rate:­ S.No. Description DEPB rate Value cap for DEPB entitlement 59A 100% cotton yarn dyed fabric 9 %

(iii) A new entry at S.No.69A may be added after entry No.69 with following description and DEPB rate:­ S.No. Description DEPB rate Value cap for DEPB entitlement 69A 100% cotton yarn dyed made­ ups 11%     (iv) A new entry at S.No.79 may be added after entry No.78 with following description and DEPB rate:­ S.No. Description DEPB rate Value cap for DEPB entitlement 79 Cotton Yarn 2%     2. The following value cap shall be imposed in column 4 against Product Group: Plastics (Product Code:63) as given in Appendix 28A. S.No. Description DEPB rate Value cap for DEPB entitlement 38 Hessian bags with LDPE/ HDPE liner 10% Rs.25/­ per piece         3. The DEPB rate in respect of entry No.410 of Product group: Engineering (Product Code: 61) i.e Cast Iron Vice as given in appendix 28 may be amended to read as 15%.
