Amendments in schedule 2, Table B of ITC (HS) Classification of Export & Import items 1997-2002.

TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY PART I SECTION I   GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 16 (RE)/1997­2002 NEW DELHI DATED THE 1st July,1999.   In exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 4.11 of the Export & Import Policy 1997­2002, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Schedule 2 , Table B of the Book titled "ITC(HS) classifications of Export and Import Items 1997­2002". 2. The entry at Code No. 2610 (a) of the book titled "ITC(HS) classifications of Export & Import Items" is amended to read as under : " 2610 (a) Chrome ore, other than Restricted Export (i) beneficiated chrome ore fines/ permitted concentrates (average feed grade under to be less than 33% Cr2O3) and licence" (ii) those categories of chrome ores mentioned in (b) and (c) below as canalised. 3. This issues in Public interest.
