/ADVANCE COPY/   TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY (PART­I, SECTION­1)   GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE   PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 29 (RE­98)/1997­2002 NEW DELHI: Dated the 10th August,1998     In  exercise  of  powers  conferred  under  paragraph  4.11  of  the Export and Import Policy, 1997­2002, as notified in the Gazette of India extraordinary, Part­II­ Section 3 – Sub­ section (ii) vide S.O No. 283(E) dated 31.3.97, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes following amendment in the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1) (RE­98), 1997­2002:   1. The following shall be added as an agency after serial number 21 under Appendix 32­A. 22) Moody International (India) Pvt. Ltd. C­45, Friends Colony, New Delhi­110065. 2. The following shall be added as an agency after serial number 15 under list of IS/ISO 9000(series) Certification agencies of Appendix 32­B 16) ABS Quality Evaluation Inc,

Mayuresh Chambers, 404, 4th Floor, Sector 11, CBD, Belapur, Navi, Mumbai.   17) British Standards Institution, 389, Chiswick High Road, London­W4­4A.L., United Kingdon.   3. The following shall be added as an agency after serial number (a) under list of HACCP Certification agencies of Appendix 32­B.   b)  Export  Inspection  Agencies/Export  Inspection Councils.   4. Paragraph 7.5 shall be amended to read as under:   The  licensing  authorities  may  issue  duty  free  licences where Standard Input Output Norms are not fixed, based on the recommendation of adhoc norms by RALC/ZALC till the norms  are  standardised  or  adhoc  norms  are  fixed  by

paragraph  7.45.  However,  post  export  DEPB  in

respect of shipment made prior to issuance of pre export  DEPB  as  well  as  post  export  DEPB  in respect of exports from a port of other than the port of  registration  under  pre  export  DEPB  shall  be allowed.   7. The following shall be added after sub paragraph (f) of

paragraph 7.35

  (g)  All  notified  Airports/Sea  ports/ICDs  under DEPB Scheme located in a particular district other than those mentioned in sub­paragraph (a) to (f).   8. Paragraph 12.2. (b) shall be amended to read as under Application  for  grant  of  certificates  for  Export House  shall  be  filed  with  the  concerned  regional licensing  authorities  headed  by  Joint  DGFT. However,  application  for  grant  of  certificate  for TH/STH/SSTH  shall  be  filed  with  the  Director General of Foreign Trade.
