Notification No. 61 (RE-2010)/2009-2014 New Delhi, the 20th July, 2011

Subject: Validity of extension for export of 6,50,000 tons of wheat products upto 31.03.2012.

S.O. (E) In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) and read with Para 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-2014, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment, with immediate effect, in Notification No. 41/2009-14 dated 18.05.2010 read with Notification No. 116 (RE- 2008)/2004-09 dated 03.07.2009.

  1.     Through Notification No. 116 (RE-2008)/2004-09 dated 03.07.2009, existing entry, pertaining to wheat products, against
    

ITC (HS) code 1101, at Sl. No. 46A of the table in Paragraph 1 of Notification No. 33(RE-2007)/2004-2009, dated 08.10.2007 was substituted to allow export of wheat products subject to a limit of 6,50,000 tons upto 31.03.2010. The validity period for this permission was extended upto 31.03.2011 through Notification No. 41/2009-14 dated 18.05.2010. Now, this validity period is further extended upto 31.03.2012. Accordingly, the table in para 2 of Notification No. 41/2009-14 dated 18.05.2010 is substituted as under:

(ii) Exports shall be allowed only from Customs EDI Ports.”

  1.     The quantity of wheat products to be exported as mentioned in Para 2 above shall be monitored on a fortnightly basis both
    

by the Customs Department as well as by DGCI&S, through fortnightly reports to be sent to the Department of Commerce / DGFT as well as to the Department of Food & Public Distribution. 4. Effect of this notification:

Notification No. 116 (RE-2008)/2004-09 dated 03.07.2009 has permitted export of 6,50,000 tones of wheat products upto 31.3.2010, which was earlier extended upto 31.3.2011 by Notification No. 41/2009-14 dated 18.05.2010. Now this validity has been extended upto 31.03.2012.
