Pine Tar Oil 51.390 MT Note: The Import Item No. 1 Scrapped Tyres/Rejected Tyres is covered under ITC HS Code 40040000 which defined as ‘waste, pairings and scrap of rubber (other than hard rubber) and powders and granules obtained therefrom. According to the ITCHS Code scrap of rubber is a restricted item under import policy subject to condition that import of used rubber tyres with one cut in bead wire and import of used rubber tubes cut in two pieces, however, is free. The firm has not mentioned cut(s) in rubber tyres. Keeping in view the above policy provision, the Committee decided that scrapped tyre/rejected tyre imported under Advance Authorization must have one cut in bead wire. After approval of Minutes, the file may be put up to DG for information. A Note may be sent to Policy – IV (PC-IV) Division so that in case PC-IV Division wants to incorporate some specific condition in Chapter-4 of FTP/HBP Vol.I, it may consider.
