Decision: Khaitan & Co. on behalf of M/s South Asian Petrochem Ltd., Kolkata vide its letter dated 10.11.2008 requested for modification in import items of Standard Input-Output Norms (SION) No. H-206 fixed for the export product ‘Polyester (PET) Chips (High Pressure Moulding Grade/Bottle Grade)’.

  1.         The matter was examined in Norms Committee Meeting No. 41/AM11 held on 12.01.2011 based on the written comments furnished by D/o

C&PC vide OM No. 46011/107/2005-PC.II dated 12.01.2011. Accordingly, the Committee recommended to amend SION No. H-206 to read as under:

PRO version 6. Antimony Trioxide OR Antimony Triacetate 0.00034 MT OR 0.00059 MT 7. Cobalt Acetate 0.00018 MT Note 1: S.No. 3 Isophthalic Acid can be replaced with S. No.1 Purified Terephthalic Acid upto a maximum of 0.045 MT. However, any increase / decrease in qty of Isophthalic Acid will be adjusted from the quantity of S. No. 1 Purified Terephthalic Acid and total quantity of S.No.1 Purified Terephthalic Acid and Item No. 3 Isophthalic Acid will not exceed from the level of 0.8680 MT.

Note 2: S.No. 4 Diethylene Glycol may be allowed upto a maximum of 0.01 MT from the existing level of 0.008 MT for each increased/decreased quantity of 0.001MT Diethylene Glycol; the quantity of 0.00032 MT of S.No. 1. Purified Terephthalic Acid and 0.0065 MT of S. No. 2 Ethylene Glycol/Monoethylene Glycol (MEG) be decreased / increased from the quantities allowed in SION.

  1.         The above amendments may be notified through Public Notice.
