DGFT Committee Minutes

DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE DES-VI (FOOD & MISC) Meeting No. 1/19 of Norms Committee VI scheduled for 24.04.2018 was held on 25.04.2018 for the licensing year 2018-19 to consider cases under Duty Exemption/Remission Schemes (Chapter-4) of Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20 pertaining to Food & Mics. Products under the Chairmanship of Sh. N.P. S. Monga, Add!. DGFT. Following members were present in the meeting:- S.No. Name of the Officer Designation Department Technical Authority in attendance 1. During the discussion, it is observed by the Committee that where an export/import product have various varieties/species/ingredients/origins/concentration/specifications or any other technical ingredient/content etc. for which the ad hoc norms are being sought, the applicants are not declaring the same in their application. RAs are advised to look into the issue and examine the applications for Advance Authorizations/Norms fixation before forwarding the same to the Norms Committee. 3. The Committee further noted that certain Technical Authorities are not providing their comments for fixation of ad-hoc input output norms and a number of cases are pending for fixation of norms. The Committee decided that NC-VI section shall submit a list of such cases to DG for deciding further course of action. 4. Agenda for individual cases was taken up for discussion. Decision taken in each case is enumerated below. Ad-hoc norms fixed in this meeting are valid for a period of 2 years reckoned from the date of ratification as per para 4.12(vi) of Hand book of procedure of FTP 2015-20 updated as on 05.12.20117.
