The area measuring 6,78,985 SQM within the jurisdiction of the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT), Taluka - Uran, Distt. Raigad, Maharashtra operated by M/s. Bharat Mumbai Container Terminal Put. Ltd. ('BMCTPL in short), which includes 1000 meters of Quay and approach Trestle, Container-Yard, Intake Gate-Complex, Container Road In-take Area and Rail Yard, backyard lying on the south side, and the area near the rail end and outside area adjacent to the Main gate to Terminal gate for Rail Container Movement facility of M/s. BMCT Pvt. Ltd. has been declared as the Customs Area in terms of Notifications Nos. 04/2017 dated 25.05.2017, 12/2017 dated 29.09.2017, 16/2017 dated 29.11.2017, 09/2018 dated 04.07.2018, and 10/2018 dated 04.07.2018 issued under Section 8 of the Customs Act, 1962. 2 . Now, Port Terminal M/s BMCT has requested to de-notify the area admeasuring 477.10 SQM lying within the coordinates SP021A, SP022A, SP021 and SP022B vide their letter dated 06.06.2024 out of the existing total notified area of 6,78,985 SQM of land. 3. Now, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 8(a) of the Customs Act, 1962, I, D. S. Garbyal, Commissioner of Customs (NS-General), JNCH, Nhava Sheva, hereby de-notify the area admeasuring 477.10 SQM lying within the coordinates SP021A, SP022A, SP021 and SP022B marked as Lane-16 (Blue colored) in the enclosed layout plan of BMCT Gate Complex bearing DrgNo-BCL-001-SK153-1.
