M/s Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) and M/s Speedy Multimodes Limited were appointed as Custodian and Co-custodian respectively for the CFS M/s Speedy Multimodes Limited located a JNP-CFS, Sonari Village, Taluka- Uran, Navi Mumbai- 400717 (declared as Customs Area vide Notification No. 16/89 dated 28.02.1989 and later renewed from time to time). Vide Public Notice No. 105/2022 dated 21.01.2022, in respect of its notified area of 2,75,186 SQM, the CFS M/s Speedy Multimodes Limited has been appointed as Custodian for period of 10 years from 29.01.2022 subject to validity of AEO-LO status of the CFS. 2. Now, through the General Manager, (Traffic), JNPA, the CFS M/s Speedy Multimodes Limited had requested to de-notify the existing Buffer Yard area of 54,014 SQM vide their letter dated 30.01.2024. 3. Now, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 8(a) of the Customs Act, 1962, I, D. S. Garbyal, Commissioner of Customs (NS-Gen), JNCH, Nhava Sheva, hereby de-notify the Buffer Yard area 54,014 SQM out of the existing total notified area of 2,75,186 SQM with immediate effect. 4. Further, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 45(1) and 141(2) of the Customs Act, 1962, I, D. S. Garbyal, Commissioner of Customs (NS-Gen), JNCH, Nhava Sheva, hereby appoint M/s Speedy Multimodes Limited to be the ‘custodian’ of imported goods received at the Container Freight Station of M/s Speedy Multimodes Limited until these are cleared for home consumption or are warehoused or are transshipped in accordance with the provisions of Chapter VIII of the Customs Act, 1962 for the Customs Area of 2,21,172 SQM. Similarly, M/s Speedy Multimodes Limited will also be the ‘Custodian’ of the export cargo brought into said freight station for examination and stuffing till their exportation through Jawaharlal Nehru port.

5. The condition of custodianship for M/s Speedy Multimodes Limited shall remain the same as enumerated in Public Notice No. 105/2022 dated 21.01.2022.
