Public Notice No. 41/2023

Subject: Modification in the procedure of granting manual Out Of Charge-reg.

Attention of all the importers /stakeholders is invited towards Public Notice No. 28/2023 dated 06.04.2023, 29/2023 dated 06.04.2023, 31/2023 dated 11.04.2023, 32/2023 dated 15.04.2023 and 37/2023 dated 18.04.2023 regarding clearance of import consignments where duty is not being reflected in ICES after payment, \due to issues subsequent to the implementation of Electronic Cash Ledger| and its integration with various Systems. 2. It has been now noticed that the said issue is resolved and in most cases payments are reflected in the system. In view of the smooth functioning of Electronic Cash Ledger (ECL) on ICEGATE, it is hereby clarified that w.e.f. 15.05.2023 manual Out Of Charge shall be granted on case to case basis with the prior approval of the concerned Commissioner of Customs, JNCH. 3. Difficulty, if any, faced in implementing the said Public Notice may be brought to the notice of the Additional Commissioner of Customs, Appraising Mains (I), JNCH.

  1. All the Public Notices mentioned in para 1 of this PN, issued regarding ECL are hereby superseded by this Public Notice.

  2. This issues with |the approval of Chief Commissioner of Customs, Zone-ll, JNCH.
