Public Notice No.29/2023 Date: 06.04.2023 Addendum to Public Notice No. 28/2023 dated 06.04.2023. In view of the fact that 7th to gth April 2023 are Bank Holidays for consecutive three days and clearance of a number of import consignments may get held up during this period, it has been decided to add following paragraph below para 2 of the Public Notice No. 28/2023 dated 06.04.2023: 2A. If an importer belonging to any of the above category is not able to produce the aforesaid certificate from the bank due to the closure of banks for the next three days, then on case to case basis, on producing proof of payment of duty, the Additional / Joint Commissioner in-charge of the Docks or RMS FC, on being satisfied that duty appears to have been paid, shall permit grant of Out Of Charge for such consignments, subject to the importer submitting an undertaking to submit the said certificate from Bank before 13th April, 2023."
