Subject: Single Unified Multi-Purpose Electronic Bond in Customs and Linkage of

Physical Bond with e-BG- regarding. Attention of all concerned is invited to Board’s Circular No. 04/2025-Customs dated 17.02.2025 and this office Public Notice No. 27/2025 dated 25.03.2025 regarding the “Ekal Anubandh” initiative for streamlining customs procedures through a single all-India multi- purpose electronic bond (SEB). 2.   In continuation of these efforts to enhance ease of doing business, it is informed that, until now, ICEGATE provided functionality to link e-Bond with e-Bank Guarantees (e-BGs). Further advancing this initiative, ICEGATE has deployed a new functionality, effective June 05, 2025, enabling the linking of Physical Bonds with e-Bank Guarantees (e- BGs). Necessary updates have been incorporated in the user manual (copy enclosed). 3.     Stakeholders holding physical Bank Guarantees approaching their expiry are advised to renew such guarantees in electronic form (e-BG) at the designated banks and link the renewed e-BG with the respective bonds (whether e-bonds or manual bonds) by utilizing the newly deployed functionality on ICEGATE. 4.   Any issues or difficulties encountered while using this functionality may be brought to the notice of this office at bondbg-mundra@gov.in for necessary assistance.
