Subject: Disposal of Remnant and duplicate samples.

With reference to the above mentioned subject and as per the para 05 of the P.N. 07/2016-17 dated 05.09.2016 issued by the Principal Commissioner, Custom House Mundra, all the samples needs to be disposed of immediately after 06 months and in case of Hazardous waste the sample must be destroyed immediately after 02 years. As we are facing space constraints and all the samples which are stored in Customs House, Mundra may invite a major mis-happening in future as per the hazardous nature of the samples, those samples which are fulfilling the criteria for disposal, mentioned in Para 05 of the enclosed Public notice needs to be disposed of immediately. Accordingly, all the stakeholders(Importers/Exporter/CHA) are requested to provide the list of all the Bill of Entries/Shipping Bills for which office copy of the samples are needed to be given back, in such cases only where Test reports are not contradicting the Description of the goods declared. Please provide the list in MS Excel format within 07 days of the issuing of this Public Notice, failing to do so, it shall be assumed that no copy of samples is required and shall be disposed of. This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority.
