Subject: Disbursal of Drawback amounts into the exporter’s accounts

through PFMS. Attention of the Exporters, CHAs, Shipping Lines and Members of the Trade is drawn to the fact that presently, duty drawback claims are being processed through the Customs Automated System (CAS), enumerated in a Scroll/Computerized Customs Drawback Advice (CCDA) and sent to the Authorized Bank Branch along with a supporting single Cheque of the consolidated amount, as per the scroll, for payment of duty drawback amounts into the exporter’s accounts. 2. However, with effect from 5th June, 2024; payment of Drawback amounts into the exporter’s accounts post scroll out will be facilitated through the Public Finance Management System (PFMS). As a consequence, w.e.f. 5th June, 2024 the following procedure for the disbursal of Drawback shall be discontinued: i. The practice of printing the Drawback Scroll for onward transmission to the Authorized Bank. ii. Issuance of Cheque for the total amount to be disbursed under a scroll. 3. Instead of the existing procedure, the following SOP shall be adopted: i. Authorized officer(s) shall process the Duty Drawback Scroll Queue. ii. The scroll generated will be AUTOMATICALLY processed by the CAS for onward transmission to the Central Nodal eDDO. iii. The nominated Central Nodal eDDO shall forward the consolidated All India duty Drawback scroll to the nodal ePAO. iv.

All the members of the Trade Associations are requested to circulate this Trade Notice among their constituent members for its wide dissemination.
