Minutes of the Norms Committee-II Meeting No. 13/09 held on 02.07.2008.
The Meeting No.13/09 of Norms Committee-II was held on 02.07.2008 for the licensing year 2008-2009 under the Chairmanship of Joint Director General of Foreign Trade (OPH) to consider the applications under Duty Exemption Scheme (Chapter-4) of Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009. 1. Description of export product may be suffixed with “each weighing 8700 kg. and containing 4334 kg. of CRGO electrical steel, 1488 Kg. of copper wire.
2. Description of import item No. 1 may be suffixed with “of relevant grade and thickness” and quantity may be reduced to 72,811 Kg. (net+ 5%).
3. The quantity of import item No. 2 may be reduced to 23,927 Kg. (net+ 0.5% ).
4. A team of experts is looking into the revision of SIONs for transformers should also review SION for laminations/cut core at C-323.
5. Firm may be advised to apply for SION for this export product.

3. Quantity of import items at S. No. 3 (Brass Strip), 4(Phosphorous Bronze Strip) and 5 (Polypropylene(in Granules form) may be allowed as applied for i.e. 4366 kgs., 1317 kgs. and 21483 Kgs. respectively inclusive of a wastage of 5% after taking clue from SION C-1632 & C-
