Now, the applicant has requested for review of ratified ad-hoc norms. The applicant has stated that they have obtained advance authorization under no norms category from RA, Bangalore for the export item Silver Black Nude core & Sleeve with the quantity of 1,66,200.000 Meter whereas, norms fixed by NC as per written comments of DPIIT for the export quantity of 12,13,308.000 Meter. It would be 1,13,330.000 meter, however, due to typographical error in the comments of DPIIT the export quantity might have been mentioned as 12,13,308.000 Meter.

The applicant's representation was referred to DPIIT on 27.05.2022 for examination & comments. As per NC decision, a reminder was issued on 28.09.2022 to DPIIT for expediting the comments. Comments of DPIIT received. Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda and noted the comments of DPIIT. Further, the matter was deliberated in the meeting and after due deliberation, the Committee decided to fix the ad-hoc norms as per written comments of DPIIT vide U.O. No. P-47014/72/2023-TSW dated 21.06.2023, as under: 1. Quantity of export product may be modified as under: (a) Silver Black Nude Core-Quantity 584045 Meters (b) Sleeve-Quantity 584045 Meters. 2. Quantity of import item namely, Tubibond may be allowed as 17140 Kgs. as 1.04 Kg./Kg. content in export item.

Case history: M/s MSS India Private Limited has submitted their application dated 17.05.2023 to DGFT through SEEPZ-SEZ for fixation of SION for the financial year 2022-23 in terms of para 6.8 if FTP read with para 6.06(e) of HBP. The application of the firm has been forwarded by SEEPZ-SEZ, Mumbai vide letter No. SEEPZ-SEZ/EOU/28/48/98-99/V-X/08373 dated 15.06.2023 requesting for fixation of wastage norms.

The applicant vide their representation dated 17.05.23 has stated that they are a 100% Export Oriented Unit having Letter of Permission (LOP) No. PER: 241(1998) EOB/215/98 dated 17.11.1998 as amended and the LOP has been renewed for a further period of five years from 2019-20 to 2023-24 vide letter No SEEPZ-SEZ/EOU/28/48/98-99/V-X/10864 dated 30.06.2021 for manufacture and export of vide range of products mainly applicable for electrical industries. The applicant has submitted the application for fixation of the scrape wastage norms for the scrape arising out of the production process of 1344 items during the year 2022-23 as per their application.

The application of the firm has been referred to DPIIT on 14.08.2023 for examination and comments. Comments from DPIIT has been received vide U.O. No. P-47011/46/2021-TSW dated 21.08.2023.

Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda and noted the comments of DPIIT dated 21.08.2023. Further, the matter was deliberated in the meeting and after due deliberation, the Committee decided to discuss it further in the forthcoming meeting.

Case stands deferred.
