The importers/Customs Brokers may make use of the services of any of the empanelled Chartered Engineers for the valuation of the goods referred by the Customs Department. The service charges claimed by the Chartered Engineers for the valuation done by them shall be borne by the importers. At the same time, the certificate issued by the empanelled engineers will be advisory in nature and shall not be binding on the department. 4. Wherever necessary, the Commissionerate reserves the right to seek the service of any of the empanelled Chartered Engineers without any favour or prejudice. 6. The empanelled Chartered Engineers have to submit yearly self-appraisal report containing full description of the goods examined and the value appraised by them before the Commissioner of Customs, Mundra by the last week of April next year so to assess the performance and to decide as to whether they are fit for continuing to the panel of Chartered Engineers in the next year. 7. This Commissionerate reserves the right to modify or amend or review the panel periodically to ensure continued adherence to the conditions and standards for which they are empanelled. the Chartered Engineer at any point of time without any notice on a reasonable belief that their performance is not justified as per Customs requirement.
