Quantity of import item No. 2 may be allowed as mandatory spares for import item no. 1 2. Import item nos. 1,7,9 to 11 are components and may be allowed as per GN4 for engineering products. 3. Import item nos 3,4 & 8 may be deleted as requested by the firm. 4. The representative of the DIPP present in the meeting recommended the case. The Committee, after deliberating upon the case, decided to ratify

the norms in respect of the subject advance authorization with following modifications subject to production of requisite export licence by the exporter to RA before affecting exports: 1. Quantity of export product may be specified as 2 Nos. having net empty export weight of 23078 Kgs. 2. Quantity of import item at S.No.1 may be allowed as 95 Kgs. inclusive of 3% wastage. 3. Word “relevant” may be prefixed with the descriptions of import items at Sl. Nos. 2 & 4. 4. Quantity of import item at S.No.2 may be allowed as applied for i.e. 748 Kgs. inclusive of 2% wastage. 5. Quantity of import item at Sl. No. 3 may be allowed as applied for i.e. 38 Kgs. 6. Quantity of import item at S.No. 4 may be allowed as applied for i.e. 14196 Kgs. inclusive of 2% wastage.

Reference from PC4 HQ F.No.01/80/162/00913/AM10/DESI Meeting No. 41/10 Merger of SION for the same export product with alternative inputs Date: 12.01.2010 The issue regarding merger of SION for the same export product with alternative input was examined by NCI. After deliberating upon the issue, it was felt that the present entries in SION serve the purpose and there is no additional advantage if such entries are merged. So for as two SION at C472 and C473 are concerned, NC decided to clarify that C472 has been made for stand alone galvanizing lines starting from CR coils whereas SION C 473 has been made for galvanizing lines where starting from HR coils, the ultimate product is manufactured. For the process route for C473, rolling of HR Coil to intermediate product CR Coil necessitates use of rolls, rolling / pickling oil etc. which are not required for the process route for C472. That is why different SIONs have been recommended to have clear distinction.
