Subject: All India roll-out of Faceless Assessment - reg.

Kind attention of the Importers/Exporters, Custom Brokers, Shipping Lines/Agents, Logistic Service Providers, ICD/CFS/Other Custodians, Trade coming under the jurisdiction of Customs House, Mundra and Other Stakeholders is invited on above subject and CBIC Circular No. 09/2019 dated 28th February 2019 and Public Notice No.1/2019 dtd.21.10.2019 regarding introduction of the next generation reforms named Turant Customs which is a comprehensive package of various elements that would be implemented from time to time. Faceless assessment was implemented ona pilot project basis in respect of Bills of Entry filed under Group 2G(Chapter 39) at Mundra under Gujarat Customs Zone.

2 Kind reference is also invited to CBIC Circulars No. 28/2020-Customs dated 05.06.2020 and 34/2020-Customs dated 30.07.2020 launching Phases | and ll of Faceless Assessment respectively under the umbrella of the next generation of Turant Customs programme.

3. Kind attention is also invited to Circular No. 40/2020 dated 04.09.2020 issued by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs, New Delhi (copy enclosed) for All India roll-out of faceless assessment at all ports of import for all imported goods by 31.10.2020. The detailed roll-out plan in phases is given in Annexure |. For imports made in Gujarat Zone the faceless assessment shall be rolled out in the following phases: -

a) Phase IIl on 15.09.2020 for Group 2G, 4,5, 5A and 5B

b) Phase IV on 01.10.2020 for Group 1A, 2A, 2K and 3

c) Phase V on 31.10.2020 for Groups 1, 2, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E, 2F, 2H, 21, 2J and 6. 4. All eligible importers and other stake holders are requested to go through the same i.e. Notifications/Circulars/Advisories/Public Notices in respect of the above mentioned subject and avail the facilities provided therein. 5.
