M/s.  The  Saraswati Industrial Syndicate LTd., HQ F.No.01/80/50/01200/AM08/DES.I Lic.No. & Date Meeting No.51/10 RA F.No.05/24/040/00817/AM08 0510215372 dt.24.01.2008 Date: 23.03.2010 Revision of norms The Committee considered the firm’s request to delete the word “painted” form the description of the export product and disallow import of paint at Sl.No. 13 as they have sourced this item indigenously. The firm also mentioned that they had exported the product before ratification. The firm has also requested to change the weight of import item No.2 as 14.109 MT instead of 14.1 MT.  The Committee after deliberating upon the case decided to  accept  both  the  requests  of  the  firm.    Accordingly,  following  changes  are  recommended  in  the  norms  earlier  norms  of  the  subject  advance authorization :­   1.      The word “painted” may be deleted form the description of the export product and import of paint at Sl.No. 13 may be disallowed as the same have been sourced indigenously.  2.      The weight of import item No.2  may be changed as 14.109 MT instead of 14.1 MT.   Regional Authority may take necessary action accordingly.

  DES­I, DGFT may kindly refer to the above mentioned licence of M/S BHEL, Trichy. The firm has now submitted reply vide their letter of dated 13­02­ 10. This Office recommends the following on per set basis. Export 1. The total weight of export product for two sets is 44970 MT & the same may be incorporated in the licence. Import per unit

3. Item no 1­ The item may be allowed at 745.7 MT with 3% wastage. 4. Item no 2­ The item may be allowed at 200.8 MT with 3% wastage. 5. Item no 3 to 5­ The item may be allowed as applied with 2% wastage 6. Item no 6­ The item consists of pipes & hollows. Pipes may be allowed at 1597.2MT with 2% wastage. Hollows may be allowed at 916.3 MT with 10% wastage. 7.  Item no 7­ The item consists of pipes & blooms. Pipes may be allowed at 1310.7 MT with 2% wastage. Blooms may be allowed at 301 MT with 30% wastage. 8. Item no 8­ The item may be allowed at 335.6 with 2% wastage 9. Item no 9­The weight of the import product is 63 MT & the same may be incorporated in the licence. 10. Item no 10­ Welding material & this may be allowed as applied for. 11.  Item no 11to 13­ These are components & may be allowed under GN­4. 12. Item no 14,25,18­ May be deleted as these are instruments & not part of the export product. 13. Item no 20 to 22 & 24­ may be deleted as these appears to be capital goods. 14. All other items up to item no 41 are components & may be allowed under GN­4. 15. Item no 42 to 72 are spares & may be allowed under spares policy. The above issues with the approval of JS(B). M/s.  Electromech  Material Handling  Systems  (I)  Pvt. Ltd., HQ F.No.01/80/162/01767/AM10/DES.I Meeting No.51/10 Date: 23.03.2010 Modification in SION Sl. No. C­1899 for the export product  “E. O. T. Crane” The Committee noted that SION is already available for “E.O.T. crane” at Sl.No. C­1899 and the exporter requested to incorporate some additional components as inputs under this SION.  The Committee noted that according to provision  of General Note 4 for the engineering items in Handbook of Procedures Vol.II, where SION do not provide import of components or where additional components in addition to those allowed in norms are sought,  the  components  as  an  input  can  be  allowed  for  import  on  net­to­net  basis  without  any  wastage  with  accountability  clause  by  RA   Accordingly, Committee opined that there is no need to incorporate components as addl. inputs under this SION entry and decided to advise the exporter to approach concerned RA for allowing import of components in addition to the inputs allowed under the SION on net­to­net basis.   The firm may be informed accordingly.
