Party Name:LARSEN & TOUBRO LIMITED 15.12.2009 HQ File :01/80/050/01007/AM09/ RLA File :03/95/040/00496/AM09/ Lic.No/Date:0310484775 01.09.2008   Decision :  The DHI furnished written comments in this case vide their U.O. No.  3(31)/09­TSW(B)/  dated 14/12/2009 informing that they recommended the norms based on the revised list of import items furnished by the firm.   The Committee, after deliberating upon the case, decided to ratify the norms in respect of the subject advance authorization in accordance with their written comments as under:­   The firm has revised list of items proposed for import. The total weight of the export product is 1056 MT for four coke drums and the same may be incorporated in the licence.   1. Quantity of 560.777 MT for import item no 1 and 80.3MT for import item no 3 and 125 MT  for import item no 14 as applied by the firm with 3% wastage. 2. Quantity of import item no 2 may be allowed as 281 MT with 8.4% wastage.  3. Item no 4 and 5 may be deleted as requested by the firm.

4. Description of import item no 6 may amended as “finished forged components” and its weight 32.6MT may be incorporated in the licence and allowed without any wastage. 5. Item no 7 ,8  & 13 are components and the same may be allowed under GN­4. 6. Item no 9 to 12 are welding material. The thickness of plates proposed for import is given in a wide range and hence it is difficult to calculate welding material as per standard formula. Allowing 3% weight of plates proposed for import and 1% of weight of forging, the quantity of item no 9 and 12 may be amended to 4.5MT each, item no 10 to 21 MT and item no 11 to 6.3 MT respectively.     7
