ADDENDUM- II TO PUBLIC NOTICE NO.01/2020 & 03/2020

Subject: Terminal Handling Charges levied by Terminal Operators-reg. Attention of all the Importers, Exporters, Custodians, Shipping Lines/Agents, Terminal Operators, Custom Brokers, General Trade coming under the jurisdiction of Custom House, Mundra and all other stakeholders is invited to Public Notice No. 01/2020 and 03/2020 dated 17.01.2020 and 28.01.2020 respectively issued by the Principal Commissioner of Customs, Custom House, Mundra regarding the above subject. 2. It has been represented by the Trade that in addition to ‘ Terminal Handling Charges (THC)’ certain other charges such as SSR Charges (Special Service Request), Demurrage charges, Reefer Monitoring Charges, Special Handling Charges etc. are levied by the Port Terminals and the Shipping Lines are collecting such charges from the Importer / Exporter which are at variance with what the Shipping lines are paying to the Port Terminals. 3 In order to bring transparency in respect of such charges also, it is decided that the Importers/ Exporters who are eligible to the facility of direct payment of ‘ Terminal Handling Charges’ to the respective port terminals as per above Public Notices can also avail the facility of direct payment of such other charges to the Port Terminals.

4. Other contents of the Public Notice No. 01/2020 and 03 /2020 dated 17.01.2020 and 28.01.2020 respectively will remain unchanged.
