Subject:- Discontinuation of Scanning of Import Dockets at DMS-reg.
Attention of all the importers, Custom Brokers, other stake holder and member of the trade is invited to the standing order no. O1/ 2015 dated 19.10.2015 and Public Notice No. 35/2015 dated 19.10.2015 for implementation of the Document Management System in Custom House Mundra. After Implementation of the Document Management System (DMS) in Mundra Customs, the docket of Bill of Entry, Shipping Bills and Connected documents are being stored both in digital as well as physical/ hard copy form. The objective of having DMS was to ensure proper storage and retrieval of dockets of Bill of Entry and Shipping Bills so that in case, when original dockets are not traceable as required under the Provision of Customs Act,1962, to process Refund, DBK, Re-import, Re-Export , amendments under section 149, investigation in respect of Past Exports/Imports. 2. Since, uploading of all documents (including supporting documents submitted subsequent to filing of Bill of Entry) pertaining to clearance under a Bill of Entry using E-Sanchit facility has been introduced by Public Notice No.

a. In view of the above, it has been decided to discontinue with collection of Import dockets by the OOC officer and submission of the same to DMS. However the procedure as prescribed vide Standing order No. 01/2015 dated 19.10.2015 will continue to be followed for Export Dockets till further orders.
