46.     M/s. Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited., Mohali  530134811 09.09.2003      And  0530134821 09.09.2003  As Per  List of Import items Enclosed Bulk Drugs & Formulations It  was  decided  to  call application  including Flow  Chart  and import  and  export product for establishing the nexus.   Case No. 47   The Committee took up the Supplementary Agenda in respect of M/s DSJ Communications Ltd.  Shri Ratish Tagte, Company Secretary of the firm,  appeared  before  the  Committee  and  made  his  submissions  in  support  of  its  request  that  the  EOP  may  be  extended  from  01.04.2009  to 31.09.2010 and for inclusion of alternate product.    The Committee noted that the firm has already availed an E.O. period of fourteen and a half years and still could not make any export. The Committee therefore was not convinced with the submissions of the firm that it would be fulfilling the export obligation in the period proposed to be extended.  Therefore, the Committee rejected the request of the firm with the directions that Regional Authority may initiate immediate action for recovery  of  Customs  Duty  with  interest,  forfeiture  of  BG  and  action  under  FTDR  Act  and  also  physically  verify  imported  machinery  at  their premises.   The Meeting ended with a vote of thanks to the Participants.
